Professor Magda Mustafa Sadig is an accomplished academic, economist, researcher, and higher education leader with more than three decades of experience in university teaching, academic administration, research, and institutional development. She currently serves as Head of the Department of Economics and has held several senior academic leadership positions, including Acting Dean, Program Coordinator, and Head of Department at leading universities in Sudan.
Professional Profile
Throughout her career, Professor Magda has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Management, Research Methodology, Knowledge Management, Banking, and Project Monitoring and Evaluation. She has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and has served as an external examiner, academic reviewer, and member of curriculum development and quality assurance committees.
Beyond academia, she has extensive professional experience in humanitarian and development organizations, including the Sudanese Red Crescent, Sudanese Fertility Control Association, Concern Sudan, and the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum. She has successfully managed development programs in education, community development, humanitarian relief, water, and institutional capacity building.
